A theatre based in Potters Bar will be presenting a production featuring a fictional family known for being eccentric and macabre.
Herefordshire residents can soon attend a play called “The Addams Family” in Potters Bar this winter. Based on the characters created in the 1930s by the American cartoonist Charles Addams, the production invites audiences to celebrate just how wacky families can be.
Theatres and playhouses often employ dependable poster printing services to design and produce high-quality advertisements for the shows they put on to encourage ticket sales.
Over a three date run, audiences can enjoy the antics of the famously frightening family on stage. The story centres on daughter Wednesday, bringing her true love home - a smart and sweet young man who comes from a highly respectable family. Parents Gomez and Morticia decide to throw a dinner party for the suitor and his “normal” parents with comedic consequences.
Originally a satirical comic strip in the New Yorker, The Addams Family later became a hit TV show. In the ‘90s, it spawned two successful motion pictures and, more recently, returned to the small screen, streaming on Netflix in the form of “Wednesday” a horror-comedy starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character.
The Addams Family will be live at The Wyllyotts Theatre from Thursday, February 5 to Saturday, February 7. The theatre is sited at Wyllyotts Place on Darkes Lane in Potters Bar.
