Northampton International Academy is being constructed on the site that used to house the sorting office for the Royal Mail, at a cost of £30 million, and will provide cutting edge educational facilities.
From this month, parents in the town will have the chance to submit applications for their children, with the free school set to accept pupils aged between four and nineteen years.
The academy is expected to be providing education for 2,220 pupils by 2022, with 420 of these being primary age, 1,500 being secondary pupils and 300 being aged over 16.
Andy Hardy, the man set to serve as the academy’s principal, told the Northampton Chronicle that it is aiming to provide an impressive language-based curriculum, with foreign and modern languages at the heart, adding:
“Northampton International Academy will be unique. We would like to encourage local people to come along to one of our Open Day events, register their interest, apply for a place and be part of our future success.”
As with the other schools located there, Northampton International Academy will be able to turn to places that provide Stationery printing in Northampton, for necessary educational supplies.
It is due to open in September next year, although full work on the academy will not be completed until 2017.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
