An event that combines a country and western dance class with competitions is running at a public house in Northampton in autumn.
Northampton residents who enjoy country music and learning new steps can join the “Hoedown Showdown” this year. Led by Sara "Saz" King the line dancing instructor, the event will show guests all the moves they need to know while listening to famous artists from the past and present. These include Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Billy Ray Cyrus, Luke Combs and Shania Twain to name but a few.
Venues hosting country and western themed events often ask flyer printing services to include easily recognisable motifs on the adverts they produce like cowboy hats, lassoes and saddles.
All who attend are encouraged to come dressed up in their best cowboy and cowgirl fashion to get into the spirit of the event. Along with expert instruction there will be prizes to win, giveaways, audience props and lip sync battles to participate in.
The Hoedown Showdown will now be held at The Charles Bradlaugh on Saturday, November 14. The popular pub and events venue is simple to find at 1 Earl Street in Northampton and the event will start at 1 pm and ends at 5 pm. Admission is only available to those aged 18 or over and refunds will only be given if the event must be cancelled.
