A live music venue is Northampton will soon extend a welcome to an alternative rock band known for its industrial sound and hip-hop elements.
Northampton residents seeking an alt-rock experience in 2026 won’t have long to wait. Pop Will Eat Itself (PWEI) are appearing in town for a springtime show accompanied by special guests.

Fans coming down to the Northampton show can see the band’s current roster in action on stage. This includes vocalists Graham Crabb and Mary Byker, guitar player Rich March, keyboardist Adam Mole, bassist Davey Bennett and drummer Fuzz Townshend.
Founded in 1987, PWEI quickly exhibited chameleonic behaviour when they transformed from an indie pop act playing three-chord tracks to a cutting-edge crossover band blending rap and rock.
A setlist loaded with much-loved tracks is now expected on the night which may include numbers like “Get the Girl! Kill the Baddies!”, “Beaver Patrol”, “Can U Dig It”, “X, Y & Zee” and "Wise Up! Sucker" among others.
Pop Will Eat Itself will perform a live set at Roadmender on Saturday, May 16. The venue is situated at 1 Lady’s Lane in Northampton, and the gig will begin at 7.30 pm.
Midlands-based two-piece, GANS will be warming up the crowd before the PWEI set.
