The London stage show Stick Man, presented by Freckle Productions, is on tour and due to give a series of performances in Northampton this December.
This version of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffier's Stick Man comes from the same company that delivered Zog and Zog and the Flying Doctors. It consists of three leading actors, impressive puppets, songs and plenty of music, all live.
What begins as a quiet morning jog for Stick Man turns into a series of mishaps. First, a dog is eager for him to play a game of fetch. Then, he unwittingly helps a swan to construct its nest, and later, even catches himself on fire. The question remains. How is he going to safely return to his family tree in time for Christmas?
The cast includes Aaron Louis Cadogan, who stars as Stick Man, along with Rosie Malone who plays Stick Lady Love. Ben Williamson-Jones also features, along with Rosie Pepper. The show is directed by Mark Kane, while the music is composed by Benji Bower, with Brian Hargreaves as musical director.
Tickets range in price from £14 to £22. Graphic design fulfils an important role in the development of a stage or theatrical event like this one.
Stick Man will take place between Thursday 7th December and Sunday 31st December at The Royal & Derngate Theatre, Northampton.
