In late 2015, Major Peake became the first Briton to travel to the International Space Station (ISS). While there, aside from conducting scientific experiments, he also ran a marathon and carried out an orbital spacewalk.
This is an opportunity to relive Peake’s journey to the ISS, and to learn about life as a space explorer. With access to previously unseen photos and footage, it will provide an insight into the experience of being an astronaut. Everything is covered, from training and launch to spacewalking and re-entry, with the science behind the voyage covered too.
Peake will also be talking about his interest in aviation and exploration. An ambassador for the Prince's Trust, STEM Education and the Scout Association, as well as a popular author, he says:
"It's impossible to look down on Earth from space and not be mesmerised by the fragile beauty of our planet."
