Northampton to host Irish comedian

Tommy Tiernan is due to make an appearance in Northampton in mid-November.

The Tomfoolery tour sees the Irish comedian back on the circuit presenting his own form of very personal and exuberant comedy. He is noted for not holding back when it comes to delivering stand up, and this offers a chance for audiences to once again journey through the humour of an innovative mind.

In his shows, Tiernan often thinks aloud and gives his own distinctive take on wide variety of subjects, encompassing all aspects of everyday life. Now in his 50th year, the ideas and stories he shared include both a blend of wit and drama that should appeal to a broad spectrum of people.

Tiernan stars in Derry Girls, the hit Channel 4 series, and he has appeared on BBC's Live at the Apollo. He has also received critical praise as an improvised chat show host on Ireland's RTÉ Radio 1.

Both the Guardian and the Irish Times have praised Tiernan’s act, with the latter describing his act as:

“Intense and painfully funny storytelling.”
