The Office of the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Commissioner has organise a cyber security event to help interested parties improve their knowledge of digital threats.
The organisation holds the Cyber Security Forum each month with the aim of sharing best practice and obtaining briefings from the police as well as leading cyber-security experts in the field. The focus is on digital threats and how to respond to them.
This constitutes an increasing problem and it is essential that businesses keep up to date with the latest information. Failure to do so could prove extremely costly in the long term.
The forum itself is divided into two parts. Session one consists of briefings, involving two 15 minute lightning talks followed by two 10 minutes Q&As. While Session two is reserved for general discussion, looking at police cyber-threat profiles, key issues, problems, insights and ideas.
The latter includes the identification of areas of potential threat which can then be shared and analysed. It is essential to highlight these for the purposes of critical investigation, particularly important with regard to future briefings.
Attendance is free but does require registration. Time has also been allotted for refreshments and networking. Attendees of events such as this may wish to take along Business Cards to exchange with new connections.
