A celebration of creative writing is set to take place in Northampton next month.
Telling Tales 6 is being run by Jenny Townend and is the sixth year that this creative writing event will take place. The slogan for the event is “Because these stories won't tell themselves”. It both celebrates and acts as a public forum in which the writing and literary talents of staff, students and individuals from the local community can find expression.
There is no restrictions or designated format. The work presented might be a poem or a short story, a snippet from a novel that is still in the process of being produced or simply a monologue. There are no specified themes, so work presented could be on any subject matter, but those attending are certain to hear original material.
Entry is free but those wanting to attend will have to register their interest in order to be sure of obtaining a place in the audience. The general public is welcome but must acquire a Visitors Pass from the main Senate building. Flyer Printing is a useful way of advertising forthcoming artistic and cultural events such as this that may prove to be of interest to the wider community.
Telling Tales 6 will take place between 12:30pm and 1:30pm on Wednesday 22nd April at the University of Northampton’s Waterside Campus.
It is advised to check with the organisers whether the event is still to take place closer to the time.
