Northampton presents 80s double bill

A famous band from the 1980s will soon appear in Northampton as part of an anniversary tour accompanied by another well-known act from the era.

Northampton music fans will get a chance to see Level 42 live on stage in autumn with strong support from Roachford as their special guests. The upcoming show will arrive in town in October and is part of Level 42’s “World Machine 40th Anniversary Tour”.

Those attending the concert at Northampton venue, Royal & Derngate, can celebrate the major milestone for Level 42 and their breakthrough 1985 album. The show will feature tracks from the release which earned double-platinum status in both the UK and US like “Something About You”, “Leaving me Now” and the titular track “World Machine”. However, fans will also get to hear other classic tracks from the band that defined the 80s era.

Known for hits like “Family Man” and “Cuddly Toy”, British singer-songwriter Andrew Roachford and his band are opening for each show on the special anniversary tour.

Level 42 and Roachford will perform live at Royal & Derngate on Tuesday, October 7. The show will kick off at 7.30 pm and the venue is sited at 19-21 Guildhall Road in Northampton
