Northampton prepares to welcome comic

The stand-up comedian Maisie Adam is due to perform in Northampton at the end of May.

A native of North Yorkshire, Adam attempted her first stage routine in October 2016, and from this hour-long performance, she developed the confidence to pursue comedy further, entering and winning the UK's biggest stand-up contest, So You Think You're Funny. The final of the contest took place at the close of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 and notably made her the fourth female comedian to win.

The next year, Adam went back to the Fringe with her show Vague, a sell-out that resulted in a Best Newcomer nomination at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Adam also received the Amused Moose National New Comic award, and Vague achieved an extended run at the Soho Theatre.

Adam has also appeared on BBC's Mock the Week, ITV’s The Stand-Up Sketch Show and Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Will Duggan is the support act on this occasion, and he has been described by Spotlight Comedy as:

“One to keep a keen eye on in the future.”

Tickets cost £8.80, inclusive of a booking fee. Poster printing can be useful when it comes to publicising a comedy show or local event such as this.

Maisie Adam's gig has a starting time of 8pm on Monday, 30th May at The Charles Bradlaugh, Northampton.
