Television presenter Ben Fogle is on tour with his new stage show WILD, and is due to make an appearance in Northampton towards the end of May.
This author and adventurer, the son of TV vet Bruce Fogle, spent his summer holidays in Canada. It possibly helps to explain his love of animals and life outdoors. He has a degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Portsmouth and later worked for The Tatler.
Ben first came to public attention on the BBC TV reality show Castaway 2000. This was the beginning of a television career that has seen him travel the world presenting programmes, watched by millions. These have included Animal Park, Countryfile, Wild on the West Coast and Extreme Dreams.
He is also a UN Patron of the Wilderness and a supporter of charities notably WWF, Medicins Sans Frontières and Tusk as well as the author of 10 Books.
In this show, Ben brings to the stage original tales from his encounters with people and animals in the natural world. They encompass everywhere from Antarctica to the jungles of Honduras.
