In 2009, owner Johnny Seckington opened the first salon with a team of five on Wellingborough Road. In 2017, a new luxury branch of the business opened in Milton Keynes increasing Seckington’s workforce to 37 staff members. Enterprises opening new outlets can use flyer printing services to advertise in the local area.
A decade from that first salon, Seckingtons has the largest salon in the county and has started its own academy for hairdressing. Salons in the vicinity can now send apprentices to Seckingtons for assessment and in-house training. Seckington commented on his achievement:
"To have made a decade in business is amazing. I love my craft and I love my team, so each day that I come into the salon still fills me with excitement. In the past 10 years we’ve won awards, travelled the world and grown together as a team.”
Since the salon started, Seckingtons has made a group effort to raise thousands for the charity WaterAid, taking part in a gruelling Iron Man assault course, a bicycle ride and a 24-hour rowing event.
To celebrate the ten year milestone, Seckington spoiled his team with a day out at Northampton pub, The Old House and served his clients cakes with glasses of Prosecco.
