Northampton gears up for festival

The annual Sausage and Cider Festival is due to be held in Northampton at the end of June.

This is an opportunity for visitors to sample over 30 real, fruit and craft ciders, produced by local Northants artisan brewers as well as those from further afield. A selection well complemented by street food stalls selling all kinds of sausages, from Bratwurst to Polish kielbasa.

Cider will be sold along with lager, beer and other alcoholic and soft drinks. The bar operates a non-refundable token-system, but alcohol sales are strictly limited to those aged 18 and over.

An array of live music is also on offer with the four-piece Jukebox MK headlining on the Friday night. While the line-up for the Saturday includes Barney Newman and Tom Leary, The Krissy Matthews Band, as well as Northampton Irish group Donnybrook Fair and The 2 Tones. It is worth highlighting that on the Saturday, there will be inflatable fun for children.

Adult tickets start at £4 while children get in free. The festival raises money for local charities, in particular, grass-roots sport in Northampton. Poster printing can be used to draw attention to local events and festivals to the public.

The annual Sausage and Cider Festival will take place between 5pm and 11pm on Friday 19th June and between 12pm and 10pm on Saturday 20th June at Old Scouts Rugby Field in Northampton.
