Northampton date fixed for popstar's appearance

The 80s singer Kim Wilde is on her Greatest Hits Tour, with guests China Crisis, and is due to play Northampton in mid-September.

Kim is the daughter of 50s rock n' roller Marty Wilde and is best known for her successful 1981 single Kids in America. There then followed a series of well-received albums and a string of chart hits including Chequered Love, and You Keep Me Hangin’ On as well as tours with Michael Jackson and David Bowie.

Kim opted for a career break in the 90s when she developed a keen interest in gardening. Indeed, she later co-presented BBC TV's Garden Invaders but eventually returned to music, appearing regularly at 80's festivals.

There were also new albums such as Wilde Winter Songbook in 2013, a Christmas/winter-themed collection, and the sci-fi Here Come The Aliens in 2018. This led directly to Kim's achieving a Top 30 UK chart album.

The show features all of the hit singles between 1981 and 2020 spanning over 40 years. China Crisis, another 80s chart-topping band, will provide the support.

Tickets range in price from £31 to £38, subject booking fee. It is noteworthy that Logo Design can be impactful when promoting a forthcoming musical tour or series of events.

Kim Wilde's show has a starting time of 7pm on Sunday 18th September at the Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton.
