Northampton Comic-Con organisers look to the future

The event organisers behind Northampton Comic-Con have ambitious Plans for next year.

Northampton’s Comic-Con was perceived as a great success this time around. About 2,000 people turned up to the event. One thought amongst organisers is that a larger building may be required in 2019. Promotional Pens can be used by various organisations that want to engage with the public. Event organiser Jonathan Gould told the Northampton Chronicle:

“The atmosphere was great throughout the venue with the cosplay being very popular as well as all our movie props. We’re having a meeting at the venue to discuss 2019 and how we can increase the size and move it to a two-day event.”

It was the fourth time that Northampton has accommodated the venture and Gould confirmed that the team will put on the event in 2019.

There was much to see for attendees on the day. Games of Thrones stars rubbed shoulders with characters from the Star Wars franchise, while lovers of cosplay assembled in their hundreds.

Cosplay is a critical part of the Comic-Con. It has a strong appeal to many adults and children. Lots of creative individuals want to dress in ways that demonstrate their affection for popular characters. To preserve health and safety, there can be restrictions on the type of props which can be employed.
