Karla Pursglove, Alan Beal, Chris Shaw, Dave Atkins and Jack Howley, all of whom work at the Tenpin facility in Sixfields, began bowling on Monday at 9:00am and continued until 9:00pm on Tuesday.
Overall, the group managed to raise nearly £500 for KidsAid; a group that works closely with Northampton children who are recovering from traumatic incidents.
Alan, a manager at the alley, explained that his team managed to finish 55 individual games, which involved the players bowling more than 900 times throughout the challenge. He said:
“We did a similar event last year when we completed 30 hours of bowling so I thought I would try a bit longer this time.
“We picked a team which we thought would bond really well and we all helped each other through it.
“We had family members bringing us food throughout the day as it was your turn on average every four minutes.”
He went on to say that a number of injuries were suffered by the players, including arm strains and blisters, which forced some of the team members to switch arms.
