Over 20 people from the area’s companies congregated in Market Square, with the aim of spring cleaning the streets of Northampton to make them more appealing for residents, consumers and visitors.
They included employees of Northampton Borough Council, McDonald’s, the Grosvenor Centre and Lush, all armed with litter pickers and safety outfits, and undertaking an organised operation designed to focus on streets identified by the BID as particularly bad.
Among these were several of the underpasses and alleys between the car park at Newlands and Market Square, and areas like The Drapery, Abington Street, Albert Place and Wellington Street.
Maddie Hadley and Jenny Welsh, who work for Lush, were participating for the second successive year and told the local press:
“Lush is an environmentally friendly business so this sort of initiative is something we are keen to be involved in and we are grateful to Northampton Town Centre BID for organising this event.”
Those companies within the BID know that there are places offering digital Business Cards in Northampton that can help them when they are getting started.
A BID spokesman stated that the clean-up was just the start of its Plans for improving the local environment.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Plans
