The hit West End play '2:22-A Ghost Story' is about to go on tour, and a series of performances will take place in Northampton in early January.
This spooky thriller won 'Best New Play' at the prestigious WhatsOnStage Awards. It features Jay McGuiness ('The Wanted' and 'BIG! The Musical'), Fiona Wade ('Emmerdale and Silent Witness'), George Rainsford ('Call the Midwife' and 'Casualty') as well as Vera Chok ('Hollyoaks').
Character Jenny is convinced that the new house is haunted, a claim dismissed by her husband Sam. The couple then become engaged in an argument involving that evening's dinner guests, with the same question on everyone’s mind … do the dead actually walk among us?
With an unusual and fearful atmosphere reigning over the dinner party, and the feeling of a definite presence in tow, Jenny, Sam and their dinner guests decide to stay up until 2:22 to try and discover the truth.
The play is the work of Danny Robins, who created the successful BBC podcast 'The Battersea Poltergeist', with director Matthew Dunster. It is a humorous and interesting, not to mention thrilling, night, during which beliefs and scepticism clash, and anything could happen.
Tickets range in price from £24 to £45. Graphic design can play an important role in the production of a stage or theatrical event like this one.
'2:22 - A Ghost Story' will take place between Friday 5th January and Saturday 13th January at Royal & Derngate Theatre, Northampton.
