Liverpool band Cast is about to embark on a nationwide tour and is due to play Northampton at the end of October.
This outfit was formed by Peter Wilkinson and John Power in 1992. The duo emerged out of the dissolution of two of the best guitar groups of any era, Shack and the La's. 'Alright', 'Finetime'and 'Walkaway' are just some of their hit singles from the 1990s.
The band released a total of four albums, three of which entered the top 10. 'All Change' became Polydor Records' most-grossing debut album ever, whilst 'Mother Nature Calls' achieved platinum status. They also delivered ten top 10 singles prior to breaking up in 2001.
In the wake of the split, John Power produced three solo LPs and occasionally played with the now-reunited La's. In 2015, the 20th-anniversary celebrations of 'All Change' included a couple of sell-out shows in Liverpool playing the record in its entirety.
Their most recent album 'Love Is The Call' came out in February to much acclaim. Noel Gallagher previously described seeing Cast live as akin to 'a religious experience.'
