John Rastrick is set to take up his position with the company from the start of September, and he will have the responsibility to manage its Plans for investment in the North East and Yorkshire.
Rastrick possesses a law qualification, and his previous employment includes a stint with 3i – where he worked as the investment director – and a partnership role at Phoenix Equity Partners.
During his eight-year spell with the latter, he played a key role in developing its presence in the North, overseeing the opening of branches in the North West and Yorkshire.
Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, he stated that NorthEdge was rated among the area’s most prominent private equity businesses, adding:
