Leeds is marking a milestone 400th anniversary this year, and the centrepiece of the celebrations will be a live interactive game.
The centre of the city will play host to an enormous live game of Trivial Pursuit. This is one of the events that has been planned to mark the anniversary of Leeds gaining its royal charter. It is being put together by Leeds Business Improvement District as a collaboration with Hasbro, the global gaming brand. When Trivial Pursuit arrives in the heart of the city, it will be entirely free to play.
The giant interactive game has been chosen as an alternative to something more traditional, like an exhibition depicting the history of Leeds. However, it will not just be a standard game of Trivial Pursuit – all of the questions will relate to the city’s culture, heritage and history.
