Brit rock legends gearing up for Leeds date
Along with the likes of Oasis, Blur and Pulp, Kulashaker were one of the bands that helped to shape the Britpop and rock era - the band is still going strong and they are coming to Leeds.
A spring UK tour will see the psychedelic rockers stop by the O2 Academy, where they can expect to be eagerly awaited by fans loyal since the 1990s, as well as new listeners.
With their experimental edge, Kulashaker is recognised for offering something truly unique to the British music scene, taking their cues from 1960s guitar bands.
After making a big impact with hits such as Tattva (Lucky 13 Mix) and Grateful When You’re Dead in the 1990s, Kulashaker disbanded for a few years before getting back together in 2004. With seven studio albums under their belt, they are now back to their best and pleasing crowds all over the country; hot on the heels of their most recent LP, the critically-acclaimed Natural Magick. Reviewing the record for Maximum Volume Music, Andy Thorley wrote:
Kulashaker play the O2 Academy in Leeds on Wednesday, 1st May. Big city gigs such as this are often effectively promoted with poster printing campaigns. Standing and seated tickets are available online, priced from £37.55. Doors will open at 7pm on the night.

“Fast forward to 2024 and we’re all a lot older, no wiser, but Kula Shaker still are. Indeed, “Natural Magick” might be the best thing they’ve ever done.”
