New Travis Perkins outlet opens in Epsom

A new branch of the home improvement retail chain Travis Perkins has opened its doors at a site in Epsom, with a number of jobs for town residents being created as a result.

This new store has provided jobs for 16 people living in Epsom. It covers a total of 1.9 acres, and features both electric vehicle charging points and electric forklifts. The company has committed itself to a 90% reduction in its carbon emissions and this flagship Epsom store is one of the first to showcase those decarbonisation Plans.

Travis Perkins Hire options are also available at the branch, with these enabling people to gain temporary use of specialist building industry equipment and tools. Other features include a showroom area with a variety of top-of-the-line kitchen ranges and a number of blocks, bricks and timber choices.

When new stores like this open in Epsom, giveaways of promotional products supplied by local shops can help them to advertise what they have to offer potential customers.

Speaking to Builders Merchants Journal, the manager of the store Malcolm Beech said:
“We’re really excited to be opening our doors to the tradespeople and builders of Epsom. We will have a great team in place and will be doing what matters for the trade in Surrey.”

The Epsom branch had its official opening on 18th September.
