New open air theatre to launch in Epsom

A brand new theatre in the open air will be launching at a spot in Epsom later this year, providing people with the chance to watch live shows amid fragrant summer flowers.

Mayfield Lavender Farm at Banstead is a spot that is beloved and instantly recognisable for the glorious fields filled with purple flowers, which have earned it comparisons to the valleys in Valensole, France. The owner of it has a second farm in Epsom that is blessed with similar fields of lambent lavender, and that is where The Lavender Theatre will be situated.

Once opened, it will offer seating for 250 people and will be used for live musicals and stage shows. The first one to be put on will be the famous Annie Get Your Gun.

Speaking to Surrey Live, the co-founder of this new venue, Joe McNeice, stated that:

“The whole place looks incredible, just walking about the site is a real treat for all the senses, so our shows have to compliment their surroundings and match the sophistication that the natural landscape has set for us.”

Poster printing from Epsom shops can help the owners of new entertainment venues to advertise them throughout the borough ahead of their opening.

This theatre, which also includes a restaurant, shop and coffee bar, will open on 17th July.
