New homes proposal for Epsom Downs

More than one hundred brand new homes could be set for construction at a site just outside Epsom, if the local council decides to approve the Plans that have been submitted.

The developer that wants to build these homes is Fairfax Aspire Ltd and the site it has chosen is on Epsom Downs. This location lies within Langley Bottom Farm and covers a total of over five hectares. The site is directly alongside the village of Langley Vale. If the Plans are approved by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, 110 homes will be built on the land.

Some objections have been raised to the project, on the grounds that it is green belt land. However, the application addresses those concerns, pointing out that the site is not essential to the green belt – as it does not stop urban sprawl.

According to BBC News, the application then goes on to add that:

“The site represents an opportunity for modest, sustainable development on the edge of the settlement boundary.”

When developers are submitting applications for new housing schemes, graphic design serves in Epsom can help them. They can assist with the creation of images showing what the schemes will look like.

In addition to the homes, this project would also see the construction of an access road. That would be at Langley Vale Road and would include wildlife corridors.
