Epsom College has announced that it has chosen a new head teacher to lead the institution, with expectations for him take up the role next year.
Mark Lascelles is the man who has been appointed. He will be taking over from the current head teacher Sir Anthony Seldon in time for the start of the new academic year at the school.
News of the appointment was confirmed on the official Epsom College website, with a statement from Seldon in which he paid tribute to the intelligence, empathetic qualities and long experience of his successor.
He then went on to add in this statement that the future prospects for the school under the oversight of Lascelles were very bright. Lascelles stated that moving on from his current position was not something he had been planning to do, but that this role at Epsom College was too good to resist.
