New food hall coming to Epsom

A brand new food hall, described by the owners as the first of its kind in the whole of Surrey, is set to open in Epsom and will feature eight different eateries.

This facility will be called Epsom Social and the options available inside will include a branch of the Indian food chain that appeared on the television show Britain’s Top Takeaways, Curry On Naanstop. There will also be a branch of the local pizza chain Doughboyz; Pabellon, which offers street food from Venezuela, as well as eateries providing cuisine from Korea, Mexico and Lebanon.

As well as all of these regular food options, a number of temporary pop-up restaurants and takeaways will come and go within the food hall. It is not all about the food either, as Epsom Social will have a bar measuring 12 metres that serves coffee, cocktails, spirits, wines and craft beers.

Throw in a section for live shows, including cooking demonstrations, stand-up comedy, music gigs and televised sports, and this venue looks set to become a genuine local community hub.

Promotional pens created by shops in Epsom are one way that new local venues such as this can be advertised cost-effectively once they open.

Epsom Social is to be situated close to the high street, in Epsom Square and is expected to open its doors at the end of August.
