New affordable homes to be built in Epsom

The local council has awarded planning permission for a scheme that will involve the construction of brand-new affordable homes at a site in Epsom.

The chosen site for this development is in Board Walk, at Epsom Downs, and it is set to consist of a total of 23 housing units. The developer is Raven Housing Trust, and it has said that the finished project will also feature amenities such as parking spaces for bicycles and cars, landscaped green spaces and areas for use by the community.

Housing developers often turn to brochure printing outlets that are based in the same area when they want to show off their newest homes to buyers or tenants after completion.

The development by Raven Housing Trust will be a replacement for the Chavescroft estate, which currently occupies the site. The firm will build two blocks made up of 23 flats once the estate has been demolished. It was supported in securing planning permission by Carter Jonas property consultancy.

According to the Surrey Comet, Jessica McSweeney from the consultancy firm said:

“We were delighted to work with Raven and help achieve planning permission for a high quality, 100% affordable scheme which will provide homes to those who would otherwise be priced out of the local market.”

A date for work to begin on the project has not yet been announced.
