Leisure centre in Epsom wins award

Those running the Rainbow Leisure Centre and Spa in Epsom have reason to celebrate, after it claimed a prize at the recent national ukactive awards.

The leisure centre won the award for Best Club/Centre of the Year in the London regional category at the ceremony, held earlier this month. It is all part of a wider celebration of keeping fit and healthy that has been organised by ukactive and named Active Uprising, with the aim being to pay tribute to companies in the health and sport sector that achieve the highest standards.

The award given to the Rainbow Leisure Centre and Spa recognises the commitment it shows to the career development of those who work for it, and all that it does to reach out to people living in Epsom and get them involved in healthy activities.

Centres like this can always use promotional pens and other such items to help spark the interest of local people. GLL runs the Rainbow Leisure Centre and Spa, in conjunction with the borough council. Speaking to the Surrey Comet, Simon Sen from GLL stated that:

“We are delighted to see that the feedback of our customers has played an integral part in winning this award and we are excited to continue our successful work in Epsom and Ewell.”

The award ceremony was held on 6th June.
