Johnny Cash Roadshow to play at Epsom

The Man in Black is set to live again in Epsom next month, as a show paying tribute to one of the true legends of country music is scheduled to hit the town.

Called ‘The Johnny Cash Roadshow: Sin and Redemption Tour’, this show sees the iconic singer played by Clive John, while Meghan Thomas portrays June Carter Cash. The show features a stage set-up designed to look like Folsom Prison, which provided the name of one of Cash’s most beloved songs, and was the location for perhaps his most famous live concert.

Cash fans in Epsom can expect to hear a rendition of ‘Folsom Prison Blues’ as well as the other major songs by the artist. These may include popular titles such as ‘A Boy Named Sue’, ‘Orange Blossom Special’, ‘Ring of Fire’ and ‘I Walk the Line.’ Thomas and John are backed throughout by a full band of top-class musicians.

The venue for the show will be the Epsom Playhouse. Theatres like this can advertise their upcoming shows through the use of local services, such as Epsom Print shops, which can provide poster printing.

This particular show has won the praise of Cash’s granddaughter, Caitlin Crowell, who has stated that it captures the man that she remembers. It is sure to be a big attraction for music fans.

‘The Johnny Cash Roadshow: Sin and Redemption’ show will hit Epsom Playhouse on Thursday, 15 February.
