Epsom Rotary Club organising Santa Run

Father Christmas will be making several stop-offs across Epsom and Ewell in the run up to the festive season this year, with the news that Epsom Rotary Club will be organising a Santa Run again.

This is an annual event in the area and is a popular part of the holiday season for local children. This year’s Santa Run will see the man himself travel on Tilly the Train, a cheerful engine that was built by Epsom Coaches apprentices back in the 1970s and that is considered a prize exhibit in its collection.

Guide and Scout troupes from across the borough will also take part in the run this year. They are set to go from door to door collecting money that will then be passed on to charities based in the area, as well as being used to support the Guides and Scouts.

Organisations like the rotary club often turn to shops in Epsom that can complete bulk poster printing orders when they are planning special events like this, to help with the advertising of them.

Tilly will be lit up with festive lights for the duration of the Santa Run and the Guides and Scouts will sing Christmas carols during their journeys.

The 2022 Santa Runs will start on 5th December and conclude on 20th December. People are being asked to donate presents if possible.
