Keep Epsom and Ewell Green Belt is challenging Plans for the construction of hundreds of houses during the upcoming 20 years. However the main focus is a site called Downs Farm that is made up of 110 acres. The group has discovered there are Plans for the building of homes there and it wants to preserve its natural beauty.
Flyer printing from shops in Epsom can be a big help to local campaign groups when they need to spread the word and get more people from the area involved.
Speaking to Surrey Live, Yufan Si from the group stated that it was not willing to just stand back and allow the site to be turned into a housing estate. She added:
“If you have a local plan and councillors enticing developers to rip up the green belt then it sends a really bad signal. What about other green belts? This is absolutely the wrong approach, as residents we are so puzzled and confused.”
The group is proposing the use of a brownfield site closer to the centre of Epsom for the houses instead. In response, the council has stated that a consultation on the Plans will take place next February.Get a Free Quote for Plans
