Epsom chef in contention for top award

A woman who lives in Epsom and works as head chef at a care home has made it to the final stages of one of the top national awards for the care industry.

Gulcin Sinar works at the Epsom Beaumont care home as its head chef, and she is in the running for a prize at the annual Great British Care Awards. These were created to recognise the very best provision throughout the industry and honour those who hit the highest possible standards in their work within the care sector.

The awards are divided into nine different regions of the country and Sinar is in contention for a prize in the London Region. She will attend the awards presentation night at which the winners of the various gongs will be announced.

Local care homes often use Stationery printers that are also based in Epsom to ensure that they have the administrative Forms they need to function effectively.

Sinar has dedicated herself to getting to know the residents of Epsom Beaumont and to ensuring employee morale levels stay high. Speaking to In Your Area, she said:

“We don’t work in care for the accolades but it’s wonderful to be recognised by my team and peers, it is nothing short of an honour.”

The awards night will be held on March 18, 2022.
