Arnold Sam, aged six, received the glowing praise of the judging panel for his colourful design. It features Santa Claus with a big smile on his face, alongside a Christmas tree with a similarly cheery expression. The theme for the contest was ‘welcome’, and hundreds of youngsters from all across the UK submitted designs for it.
Arnold was interviewed by BBC News about his success, and told the reporter how proud he felt at the prospect of his artwork being on the front page of the festive edition.
He then added:
“The magazine helps people. I want to wish everyone a super happy Christmas and I hope Santa can bring Christmas gifts and joy to every kid in the world.”
Parents of children who win prizes like this can make permanent Copies of the picture for friends and family by visiting local Print shops in Epsom or other nearby towns.
His mum, Queenie, said that Sam is hugely enthusiastic about art, and found the chance to enter a national competition exciting. The Big Issue editor, Paul McNamee, stated that the entries may have been the best yet, which had made choosing a winner all the more difficult.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Copies
