Jasmine Van den Bogaerde, or as she is known to her fans, Birdy, has toured the world to high acclaim since releasing her self-titled debut album in 2011, when she was just 14.
Birdy’s first offering, a collection of covers performed on the piano, sold more than 1.2 million Copies across the world, with the lead single, her take on ‘Skinny Love’ by Bon Iver, reaching the UK Top 20.
With the title ‘Fire Within’, the 17-year-old’s new album is made of original music in a similar style. She has spent the last few months working on the tracks with some of music’s biggest names in an LA studio. Talking to Southampton’s Daily Echo, she said:
“The album is all my own songs so it’s very exciting. For me it’s more personal and emotive and it’s an eclectic mix of styles.
“But I’m kind of nervous. I feel like I’m starting again a little bit but writing my own songs is what I’ve wanted to do for such a long time so I’m really happy. I just hope people like my own material.”
No doubt record stores across Hampshire will have enlisted the help of printing companies in Southampton to create promotional Posters for the album’s release. Fans often like to keep items like these as memorabilia too, and Posters tend to be sold alongside T-Shirts at concert venues across the UK.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts Get a Free Quote for Copies Get a Free Quote for Posters
