A two-day music festival is headed to Eastleigh that will also include family-friendly entertainment.
Nearby residents can therefore soon attend the biggest weekend dedicated to music and fun in Southampton. Spring will see the Playing the Field Festival return for a second year after making a successful debut in 2025. Those buying tickets can expect major headline acts, DJ sets, food and drinks plus family-oriented activities during the daytime.
Organisers of local outdoor music events like festivals often collaborate with skilled poster printing services that can create colourful ads that entice members of the community to attend.
The first day of the event will see rock band Razorlight take to the stage as the headline act, followed by pop favourite Chesney Hawkes and Scottish superstars The Fratellis. The second day of the festival focuses on dance and rap with acts like Shy FX, Sigala, Songer and a Pendulum DJ set.
Fun for children has been organised including workshops called “Circus Skills” and “Bubble Blast”, as well as events like Mad Science and Disney Dance. There will also be character meet and greets along with free slides and bouncy castles on both days of the weekend.
The 2026 edition of the Playing the Field Festival will now be at Silverlake Stadium on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24. The events venue is based on Stoneham Lane in Eastleigh.
