Eastleigh to appreciate fantasy theatre

A fantastical tale with a winter theme will soon take place at a respected theatre in Eastleigh.

A new production from Frozen Light will be on stage for a short run in Eastleigh. Entitled “The Ancient Oak of Baldor”, the play is a folk tale of loss and love. The inclusive performances are designed to create a relaxed environment to enhance the experience for audience members with disabilities and offers full wheelchair access.

Venues that are designed to support disabled people often work with dedicated banner printing services to create clear signage that indicates access points and custom amenities.

Set in a fantasy realm called Earten, the story begins at the onset of winter when its people celebrate a mighty oak tree in Baldor Forest. Audiences can join the story’s heroine Elspeth as she embarks on a journey to learn what nourishes the human heart. The multi-sensory production is engineered specifically for those with multiple learning disabilities as well as their personal carers.

The Ancient Oak of Baldor will now run at The Point Theatre from Monday, February 2 to Wednesday, February 4. Tickets are £8 per person and there are two performances at 11 am and 1.30 pm. The play is suitable for audiences aged 13 and over, and the venue is located within Eastleigh’s Town Hall on Leigh Road.
