Tim Kiver has established a charity specifically to help those in Portsmouth and Southampton suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). An engineer by trade, the 53-year old is impacted himself by ADHD and first discovered his symptoms in 2017, and now wishes to help others.
Following incidents both at home and at work where his inability to focus began to affect his life, Kiver sought professional help. After consulting GPs and specialists, the engineer opted to raise money for his own assessment and was eventually diagnosed with the syndrome. Based on his own ADHD experiences, he established the Tim Kiver Foundation to offer support to local people with symptoms.
He commented:
"We would love to form partnerships with local companies in Southampton and Portsmouth to accelerate our ability to grow and do more for those that need us.”
Charities and other non-profit organisations sometimes use flyer printing services to create informational leaflets advertising fundraisers and other events to the public.
The recently created charity is now offering advice, information, practical support and signposting via its dedicated website and social media pages. The engineer’s long-term ambition in creating the charity is to develop funding that can speed up and facilitate assessment for those with symptoms.
