Southampton coffee shop company opens another outlet
A coffee shop business headquartered in Southampton has now opened a new shop.
Renowned for being the Starbucks Corporation’s first franchisee based here in the UK, Southampton coffee shop company 23.5 Degrees recently increased its total number of branches to 80. This achievement has been accomplished in just eight years and forms part of the company’s aim to establish 300 coffee shops by the year 2027.
The firm has numerous franchised stores in place across the area including Southampton’s Hedge End and Town Quay, St. Leonards and Havant. The latest branch is based in Norfolk’s King’s Lynn. Retail companies celebrating important milestones can sometimes give away branded promotional products to loyal customers to mark special occasions.
Mark Hepburn, managing director for 23.5 Degrees, commented on how the franchise has fared during the recent COVID-19 crisis:
While 23.5 Degrees opened its first store in the East Hampshire village of Liphook back in 2013, last year saw it launch seven new sites designed for drive through. With its 80th store now open for business, the next target for is to establish a total of 100 coffee shops by Spring 2022.

“The last year has been challenging but opening this Starbucks store demonstrates our commitment to our ambitious growth plans. We could not have achieved our success without our investors, contractors and Starbucks itself.”
