The proposals for the city include the building of over 100 homes. The idea of the scheduled development is that people will live in a tall complex of apartments. The regeneration scheme could mean that there is additional demand for Print shops within Southampton Hedge End.
Hampshire & Regional Property Group is behind the initiative and Allan Gordon, the managing director of the organisation, told the Daily Echo:
“We are pleased to be submitting our planning application for this exciting redevelopment project on lower East Street.”
Gordon explained that the plan has evolved after a lengthy discussion with representatives of the local authority. Furthermore, he stated that the scheme should be beneficial to the surrounding area, adding that the thrust of the development is to cater for the needs of young professionals.
The developer has established credibility in Southampton by constructing other accommodation within the centre of the city. As a result, the completion of the new complex is thought to be feasible by local politician Royston Smith.
The MP thinks that the local authority has to secure appropriate infrastructure to make the centre of Southampton function properly. In particular, Smith calls on the city council to facilitate the building of another supermarket in the vicinity.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Plans
