Music festival planned for Hedge End
A new music festival is set to take place in the Hedge End region of Southampton this summer, being billed as the biggest music festival to hit the town.
Hedge End’s Party in the Park is due to be held in Greta Park right in the middle of the town, giving local residents and visiting tourists a taste of the finest musical talent that the area has to offer. The line-up for the event is yet to be announced, but the announcement that the festival is going to take place has already made waves in the local press.
The music festival is good news for the local economy and community too, as anyone wishing to participate either as a musician, stall holder or service provider is being encouraged to get in touch with the organisers. Events like this one call for promotional material to be produced so it is likely that a local company offering printing services in Southampton will be called upon to provide programme, banner and poster printing.
Hedge End’s Party in the Park is being created by David Gates and Ken Deacon, two friends from the local town. Gates is known for founding a radio station in the area. He recently spoke about the festival to the Hampshire Chronicle, saying:

“The idea is to create a mini festival atmosphere. We may not be as big as Reading or The Isle of Wight yet, but we see this as the first of many and look forward to it growing each year.”
