Hedge End venue to offer musical comedy

A much-loved local theatre in Southampton Hedge End will soon be presenting a production celebrating the comic songs of one of Britain’s revered comedians.

Comedy fans from Southampton’s Hedge End will soon get a chance to see a show called “Looking for Me Friend: The Music of Victoria Wood”. For just one night, the music production will take over the stage at the area’s Berry Theatre. Managers of playhouses and theatres often look to reliable banner printing services for a diverse range of signage for inside and outside the venues they run.

Described by the Daily Mail newspaper as 'The most feel-good show in town’, the show has combined laughter, music and nostalgia at sold-out performances throughout the UK, as well as the Edinburgh Festival. It has even earned approval from fans, colleagues and school friends of Victoria Wood herself.

The show features BBC1’s Paulus the Cabaret Geek, accompanied by Michael Roulston of Fascinating Aida performing 21 different songs by Wood including classics ‘It Would Never Have Worked’ and ‘Ballad of Barry & Freda’.

The show will be live on stage at the Berry Theatre on Saturday, September 23. The theatre can be found on Wildern Lane in Hedge End, Southampton. The performance is scheduled to start at 7.30pm and is one hour and 45 minutes in length.
