Hedge End to screen Christmas classic
A much-loved festive film featuring the world’s most famous puppets will be shown at a theatre in Hedge End this winter.
Those seeking an inclusive seasonal movie experience in Southampton’s Hedge End are in for a treat this year. The Berry Theatre has announced it will be screening the festive favourite “The Muppet Christmas Carol” in December in a special format for those with dementia, physical and learning difficulties.
Theatres hosting specially designed screenings sometimes look to experienced poster printing services to create impactful adverts that encourage attendance.
Directed by Brian Henson, son of puppeteer virtuoso Jim Henson, The Muppet Christmas Carol was released in 1992. It stars Sir Michael Caine in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge alongside a cast that includes everyone’s favourite muppets, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear, among others.
The relaxed screening will feature higher lighting and quieter sound. Cinemagoers can also leave the venue safely whenever they wish, with staff on hand ready to help. Like all the theatre’s inclusive screenings, the film is subtitled, and tickets include a biscuit and hot drink in the intermission.
The Muppet Christmas Carol will now be showing at the Berry Theatre on Wednesday, December 4. The theatre is sited on Wildern Lane in Hedge End, Southampton, and the screening starts at 10.30 am. Tickets are priced at £5.
