An upcoming production entitled “Kipper’s Snowy Day” is coming to the Berry Theatre in Hedge End, Southampton, just in time for the winter season. Theatres putting on pantomimes and plays sometimes look to professional printing services to create branded programmes for members of the audience they can use and take home as keepsakes.
Designed as family-friendly entertainment, the play is based on a tale by the much-loved children’s author Mick Inkpen. It tells the story of Kipper the dog and his close friend Tiger’s snowbound adventure that sees them lose their other friend Arnold in a blizzard.
Presented by Slot Machine Theatre, the show is the first-ever adaptation of Mick Inkpen’s story for the stage. It features original music and new songs, combined with gentle humour and skilled puppetry, to create a warm-hearted Christmas show that is ideal for children.
An award-winning author and successful writer for television, Inkpen was born in Romford, Essex. His multiple achievements include The British Book Award and a Children's Book Award.
The play of Kipper’s Snowy Day will be on stage at the Berry Theatre located on Wildern Lane in Hedge End, Southampton from Saturday, December 10 to Friday, December 30. Tickets are priced at £16 per person.
