Hedge End music fans to celebrate classic rock

A winter concert in Southampton will see a beloved British rock group pay tribute to an important milestone in their musical tenure.

Those seeking a gig with a festive flair in Hedge End and other parts of Southampton will not want to miss Slade’s upcoming appearance at the Engine Rooms in December.

Synonymous with the season of goodwill thanks to their classic track “Merry Xmas Everybody”, Slade will be ringing the bells at the first-class venue in Southampton with a single-night show.

This year is a major event for Slade, marking the 50th anniversary of enjoying two number ones in the charts. Back in 1973, Slade had a hit with their famous Christmas song, but also the rock standard “Cum on Feel the Noize”.

Bands celebrating decades in the business can use banner printing services to create special signage that calls out to the occasion at the gigs they play.

The latest line-up of Slade features founding member Dave Hill playing lead guitar, and the multi-talented John Berry, who was recruited in 2003, to cover lead vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, and violin.

Slade will now be on stage at the Engine Rooms on Tuesday, December 19. The venue is sited at West Quay Road Industrial Estate on West Quay Road in Southampton, and the show will run from 7pm to 11pm.
