Carnival coming to Hedge End

Hedge End in Southampton has announced it will once more be holding its annual summer carnival this coming July.

The latest edition of the popular Southampton summer event, the Hedge End Carnival, will be taking place in and around the area on the weekend of July 1. Organisers of outdoor activities and events like festivals, fairs and carnivals often look to dependable banner printing services for durable signage that can cope with unexpected poor weather like rain and strong winds.

Hedge End held its first ever carnival back in 1921, launching the grand summer tradition that continues to the present day. With more than a hundred years of celebrations, the local event is heavily attended by local people from the area and entirely free to attend.

The event promises a weekend packed with activities and entertainment for all ages led by Swan Samba, the Brazilian drumming and dance band.

The carnival is focused on community and designed to raise funds for good causes while offering all attending an enjoyable time. A Carnival Queen and King will be independently appointed for the event, while other returning events include the popular carnival hunt and dog show.

The Hedge End Carnival will take place on and around St Lawrence Close in Hedge End, Southampton on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 between the hours of 1pm and 2pm on both days.
