Posters and Banners are being used in a campaign to stop loan sharks from illegally operating in Southampton.
Southampton City Council is working with The England Illegal Money Laundering Team to recruit volunteers, who will be used to raise awareness of the dangers of using illegal loan sharks and to explain how to report them to the authorities.
Poster and banner printing has long-since been used in Southampton to raise awareness or drum up support for causes or campaigns. Banner printing in particular is an eye-catching way to convey a high-level message. The anti-loan shark Banners will be posted around the city along with support from Posters. The campaigners are even managing to get their message printed on beer mats, which are being distributed around local bars and pubs. A wide spread message will be the key to the success of this campaign, so it is important that campaigners use all available communication channels.
Many people in Southampton may not be aware of the dangers and pitfalls that come with using illegal loan sharks, including their sometimes aggressive behaviour, and this campaign hopes to highlight these to protect people's safety and their finances. This new awareness drive alerts people these concerns and also encourages people who have been victims of loan shark issues to speak up about their experiences.
The campaign, which has been named 'Bite Back', officially launches in Southampton today, 20th August. People wishing to get involved with the campaign can contact the campaign team directly.Get a Free Quote for Banners Get a Free Quote for Posters
