This festival has become a popular activity among people living in Chesterfield and the surrounding area in recent years. It offers adventurous hiking trails for the fit and hardy, as well as more relaxing strolls for families and individuals who just want to enjoy the fresh air and scenery.
Speaking to Destination Chesterfield, the health and wellbeing cabinet member for Chesterfield Borough Council, Jill Mannion-Brunt, stated that it was an event that had been designed to cater to all needs.
She then added that:
“We have so many beautiful countryside locations around Chesterfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire, so taking part in this event is a great way to explore some new places or visit your favourite locations with friends and family.”
Poster printing allowing Posters to be placed in shops in town can be a valuable asset to the organisers of local events like this one when they are trying to advertise them quickly and widely.
Among the events that will be included in the Walking Festival this year are the Chesterfield Round hike and an evening stroll through Spital Cemetery called Hidden Treasures.
This festival is scheduled to take place between 14th and 22nd May.
