An annual show in the Chesterfield area that is dedicated to vintage cars and bikes is set to take place on the internet for this year, to fit in with the Covid-19 social distancing regulations.
The 2020 Eckington Classic Car and Bike Show will be a virtual event, making use of social media sites like Instagram and Facebook. The organiser of the popular show is Chesterfield Rotary and this year’s event will allow those who donate to charity to post videos or pictures of their beloved vehicles onto the event’s official social pages.
In addition to this, anyone who visits these social media pages will have the option of making a charity donation too, as well as voting for the car or bike that they like the most. The charities that are set to benefit from the event are Weston Park Cancer Charity, The Elm Foundation, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Ashgate Hospicecare.
Normally, events of this sort could be advertised through the use of poster printing and flyer printing services provided by Chesterfield printers and these can still be employed to promote online events as not everyone uses social media regularly.
The show will take place on the usual date of Wednesday 10th June, with details about which social sites are to be used coming soon.
